Starter Kit - Pear Cider

A complete kit of equipment, ingredients and bottles. Everything you need (except water and sugar) to make 40 pints of home-brewed pear cider at standard strength (5%), or 32 pints at 7% abv.

Strawberry cider is made from top quality apple juice, but is given the full, rich flavour of pears. (It is not made entirely from pears - that would be a perry not a cider - but is made from the best quality apples with an added flavour of pears.)

From start to finish, it takes only about two weeks! All you need to add is sugar, and water.

This 'starter kit' has been hand-picked from our stock items, and includes just what you need
... and all the equipment is re-usable for future brews!

The kit includes:

• 5-gallon fermentation bin with lid (to make the brew)
• Hydrometer (to test when it's ready to bottle)
• Air lock (to keep out unwanted things whilst fermemnting)
• Long reach stirrer (most household utensils aren't long enough!)
• Syphon tube (to get the beer from bin to bottles)
• Sterilising powder (to get everything really clean)
• 20 x 1 litre plastic re-usable bottles (with screw caps)
• Magnum Pear Cider concentrate - to make 40 pints at 5% abv or 32 pints at 7% abv
